Yuan Yuan Yuan had always thought that she was quite a resilient person. If not for her adaptability and hardiness, she wouldn’t be able to adjust and make herself comfortable after her life and living conditions saw such a drastic change.

Even though she dumped her phone aside, she couldn’t leave it there forever. She went to grab a meal, take a shower and returned to take an afternoon nap. When she woke up in the evening, she sighed, picked up the phone and carefully finished the manga.

She scrolled to the first page of the manga, started reading all the plot lines and tried to make sense of them.

The manga was written in the protagonist’s perspective. As expected, the protagonist camouflaged and managed to sneak himself into the saloon. He had even thought out of the box and dressed as a girl to achieve this.

The manga had addressed previously that the protagonist had a life-saving ability — he was able to perfectly hide his demon slayer scent, and change it into the scent of a normal human, or even a demon.

From what she was reading, it seemed like these two weren’t the only abilities that he had; his camouflage abilities were top notch too. He wouldn’t be able to remain in this chaotic city for so long without being discovered otherwise…

The more Yuan Yuan Yuan thought about it, the more she felt her cold sweat beading. She suddenly realised that there were really a whole lotta smart people out there, she wasn’t the only one who thought of changing her gender to hide herself.

The male lead camouflaged himself into a voluptuous and dainty looking girl. He remained undercover for an entire week before he finally made it to the dining table. When he was being served, he glanced at the rich young master demon. That was also how the demon’s face was once again captured in the manga.

Yuan Yuan Yuan observed the background in the scene, it helped her to recall the situation in the room. It looked just like how she’d imagined it to be.

But she must admit, the demon dressed in white was truly a demon that hailed from an established clan. Even in such a situation, he seemed elegant and poised. If it weren’t for the protagonist that was currently being served as dinner, Yuan Yuan Yuan would not have thought that this demon in white would be this kind of demon.

Ji Qiu did not actually illustrate the parts where humans were eaten, they were drawn mostly with flowing and intuitive colours and lines. The scene was made out to be incredibly beautiful. Red colours filled up most of the panel, coupled with tinges of lavender and sky blue. It seemed as though there were countless circles with an empty centre that filled the page. The scene looked like a clean lake, yet at the same time, it seemed to contain within its body something terribly dirty.

All around were devilish faces and malicious expressions, as though they donned the mask of Rākṣasa. Their faces were murky, only the demon in white stood out sitting there.

From the protagonist’s perspective, the camera angle was tilting upwards. From this angle, Yuan Yuan Yuan could only see half of the demon in white’s face. Even so, this half-face view appeared surprisingly malevolent.

An artistic swirl surrounded them. They looked like they were enveloped in a bewitching dreamscape. However, just when things were getting started, the door of the room was opened.

…A somewhat messy face appeared in the manga. The face was filled with countless strange patterns. If those patterns were seen as artistic, then nothing in the room would overshadow this messy face in term of this peculiar “artistic” value.

Yuan Yuan Yuan covered her face in second hand embarrassment, her eyes bleeding. The fake demon marks she’d drawn on her face had already made her out to look quite tragic in real life. Now that she was portrayed in 2D in the manga… the patterns she’d drawn randomly looked really comical now.

In fact, it seemed deliberately comical, think joker’s face paint.

But if she were to really scrutinise, now that her character was splayed out on the big screen, it was really very easy to recognise that the person was the black shirt guy. The reason the bodyguards at the saloon didn’t recognise her was because there was still a difference between real life and 2D illustrations.

When the protagonist lying on the dining table heard the commotion, he turned, looked in the direction of the door and paused.

This chap… what’s he doing here? Was what went through his head.

Was he invited over too? ♢ YOU LOOK LIKE YOU’RE DRAWING ME, CHAPTER 40 is hosted at ZHANLANN.COM ♢

The next second however, he finally figured out why this demon had made his way here.

He watched as the black shirt demon dashed over, and immediately dragged the flabbergasted him up.

The protagonist was really shocked at his actions. Before he could speak or exclaim please spare him of the likes, a long, red vine slipped out from beneath that black shirt demon’s shirt. And like a rope, that vine wrapped and bundled him up onto the demon’s back.

The protagonist was utterly floored. Was this demon thirsting for human flesh too? And he’d dashed straight in to snatch? He wondered.

Suddenly, the black shirt guy suddenly smiled at the person before him.

The moment the edges of his lips lifted, the protagonist was dazed. The only thing that was even remotely pleasing to the eye about this demon that dashed straight in was his lips and smile. Everything else about him was tragic and headache-inducing to look at.

Despite so, his lips was incredibly beautiful, so charming it didn’t look like it belonged to a guy.

The result of this one second long daze was, the protagonist didn’t speak in time. By the time he wanted to start again, it was already too late. The situation had already spiralled out of control.

The black shirt guy rolled up his sleeve. Even with a huge “burden” tied on his back, he still managed to swiftly smash the saloon…

Enh…

Anyway, it was a tense atmosphere. All three parties were dumbfounded. Everyone had their own vested interest, and everyone was just waving fists around blindly.

After Yuan Yuan Yuan was done reading, she silently scrolled to the comments section. As expected, other than the top comment “the protagonist looks so cute in cross-dress”, the rest of the comments were very awkward for her to read.
